Hey lovers! Happy New Year! I decided to start off with something a little different. FLATS! I just realized I never did a post wearing flats. Honestly, I barely wear them. Once you get used to wearing heels all the time, it feels so awkward wearing flat shoes.
The rain has been nonstop for the past week in Atlanta, so the minute it slowed down, I ran outside to take some shots. It was a pretty casual Saturday. I went to grab brunch, and do a little shopping.
I've been overly obsessed (I know I say that about everything) with this ASOS cape since I snagged it for black Friday. I paired it with my wool hat for a city chic look.
Asos Cape | H&M wool hat + jacket | Zara pants + bag | Aldo boots
I've been obsessed with wearing black and gray lately. Not sure why.... Gray has never been my favorite color, but I think my Zara handbag has a lot to do with it. Its been attached to my hip for the past 2 weeks lol.
If you saw my last f/w lookbook, you know that I've also been loving this over-sized knit vest from H&M. Definitely one of my favorite purchases this season.
Hey loves! Today I decided to take a stroll on Buckhead Ave. to check out the new street shops that were recently built in the area. Featuring all high end designers, its easy to quickly fall in love. Everything from Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, you name it. I was stopped by this Diana Vreeland quote that reads, "Don't give'em what they want. Give'em what they knew they wanted." If you're a fashion lover, anything that Diana Vreeland states seems so right.
My look today was quite simple. This camel jacket seems to be my current favorite at the moment. It literally goes with everything! I also keep a pair of over the knee boots which instantly dresses up any outfit.
Today I went to soak up some photography knowledge with some friends of mine. I didn't expect to blog, but good thing I came prepared! Can you tell a difference in these shots? I've had my camera for 2 years, and I still haven't mastered the art of photography. Hats off to those who have. It is definitely a learning process.
I've been obsessed with this jacket from lacedwithstyle. This color pairs so well with everything in the cooler months! If you haven't noticed already, jackets are one of my favorite fall wardrobe items. I paired it with my trusty oxblood leather pants to create a simple look. I finished the look with my leopard pumps that have been in heavy rotation this month.
It was gorgeous day in Atlanta. It hardly felt like fall. Reaching at 70+ degrees, it was the perfect weather to enjoy the outdoors.
*Big thanks to photographer Dimitri Crowder for sharing a plethora of knowledge with us. I learned a lot today!
You can never go wrong with an all black attire. Dressed up or down, it screams CHIC. We all have those days where we want to be comfortable; yet still make a statement. Wearing black is one of those outfits you never have to "over-think". Creating simple outfits start with your staple items.
- A faux fur coat is a MUST in my wardrobe. (I'm from Chicago, we love everything fur!) You can easily dress them up or down, and still look runway ready.
- Layer pieces are going to be the foundation of every outfit. A basic top & pant can take you a long way.
- Over the knee boots are also a must. They're super warm, and the rest is pretty self explanatory.
Once you have these staples in your closet, you're fall/winter ready! In the near future, I will be filming a video discussing wardrobe essentials. Stay tuned!
Thank you to MILQusa for this beanie! I love how it added edge to my outfit. Let's not forget how warm it is!
What are some of your fall wardrobe staples?
Urban Outfitters jacket | Target top | Zara pants + handbag | Aldo boots
Hey loves! I'm back with two of the biggest trends this fall (well….every fall lol). The camel coat and faux fur jacket.
I wanted to share two different coat options that I would transition from day to night. I would wear the camel coat during the day, and the faux fur at night. I wore this basic cropped midi set in oxblood which is one of my favorite fall colors!
